Chiefs, Pirates win in Milcu tilt

Rence Alcoriza unloaded 17 points for the Arellano University Chiefs in their 81-38 smothering of University of Asia and Pacific in the ongoing Milcu-2018 Got Skills-Adidas Summer Showcase Basketball tournament at the Far Eastern University gymnasium in Morayta, Manila.

The Chiefs went on to post their fourth straight victory in the 25-under division, putting them ahead of the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons (3-1).

Carl Lumbao drilled in 21 points for the Lyceum Pirates, who won over the Letran Knights, 91-87, and this earned the Pirates their fourth win in six outings.

National University, led by Michael Malonzo with 14 points, downed Manuel L. Quezon University, 81-39, to improve at 2-2.

In the under-19 division, Joel Gonzales made 30 points for New Era University, which edged Trinity University of Asia, 72-63.
