THE Lyceum Pirates continued their winning ways, demolishing Chiang Kai Shek College, 69-61, last Sunday in the 2017 Milcu-Got Skills Basketball elite showcase at the Lyceum gym in Intramuros.
Carl Lumbao hit 16 points for the Pirates as they scored their ninth win in 12 games in the 25-under division.
This allowed the Pirates to remain behind the solo-leading University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons.
The National University Bullpups-B drew 15 points from Reyland Torres in their 74-70 win over La Salle.
This allowed the Bullpups improve their record in fourth at 8-5.
In the 17-under division, Kobe Palencia emerged as the Best Player of the Game in leading the University of Santo Tomas Tiger Cubs to a 69-57 edging of the Lyceum Junior Pirates.
Palencia made 18 for the Tiger Cubs as they climbed to a share of second at 5-3 with Trinity University of Asia.
