Barangay Ginebra bungled three winning opportunities in the last 32 seconds, allowing the Meralco Bolts to escape with an 85-83 triumph on Friday evening at the Araneta Coliseum.

Gin Kings Sol Mercado and Justin Brownlee could not connect with their three-point attempts with 26 seconds left, as Meralco took Game 4 and equalize their best-of-7 Philippine Basketball Association Governors’ Cup finals.

Brownlee, who led with 34 points had his last chance with a jump shot in the last four seconds.

But it missed. With the series back to square one, both teams go for the decisive edge in Game 5 of the finals on Sunday, October 22, at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan.

Meralco import Allen Durham drilled in 28 points for the Bolts in a close encounter with the Gin Kings.
