By Clay Moreno

Actress Lovie Poe was the picture of glamour as she attended the red carpet premiere of The Annulment, with her co-star Joem Bascon, held at Cinema 7 of SM Megamall last Tuesday.

The star Kapuso  - who plays Gari, a woman born with a silver spoon in her mouth, in the sexy romantic movie - commanded attention as she graced the red carpet in a sultry black cocktail dress. She was in good company as she arrived arm-in-arm with Bascon.

Gari is a woman of ambition, who strives to achieve her dreams and succeed in life. Meantime, Joem is Sherwin. He is a simple guy and is a college dropout, who has no big dreams and simply wants to build a family.

Fate leads Gari and Sherwin on the same path and they instantly feel the attraction. Eventually, their lives get entangled in a whirlwind romance and passion.

Deeply elated by these feelings, they eventually decide to tie the knot. A couple of years in the marriage, problems in the relationship come to the surface. Gari’s frustrations and Sherwin’s unfulfilled promises for a better relationship and better life urges her to come to a decision.

The film is a timely movie that tackles the challenges and trials that relationships go through along the process. It is a highly relatable film that resonates with people in relationships. It explores the joys, pleasures, pains, and hardships that committed people experience within the commitment.

The sexy romantic movie, which opened on Nov. 13, is graded B by the Cinema Evaluation Board. The Regal Entertainment feature has earned P9 million on its first three days at the tills.
