‘The Clash’ Season 2 gears up for series of auditions nationwide

The search for the next singing sensation is back.

'The Clash' season 1 champion Golden Cañedo

After its successful first season, GMA Network’s musical competition The Clash opens its doors once again to all talented Filipinos who will become the country’s next singing superstar.

“This year, we are looking forward to welcome a fresh batch of talented individuals who have what it takes to earn the title,” said director Bert de Leon who is also one of the members of the screening panel. “We are so excited to see what the hopefuls have to offer this time. The search is wider this time.”

After scouring Zamboanga, Iloilo, and Cebu for the first leg of auditions, The Clash is ready to discover aspirants in Pangasinan today (May 18). Joining the auditions at Magic Mall MMX Event Center are The Clash alumni Garrett Bolden, Psalms David, Esterlina Olmedo, Anthony Rosaldo and last year’s champion Golden Cañedo who will be performing special intermission numbers. Auditions will be from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m..

The competition is open to all male and female Filipinos, amateur and professional, 16 years old and above. Interested applicants need to bring the original and photocopy of their birth certificate and one recent photo (4R half body). They also need to prepare at least two songs for the audition with minus-1 on a USB flash drive.

 The next auditions will be held on the following dates and venues: Veranza Mall, General Santos City (May 25); NCCC Mall Buhangin, Davao City (May 26); Robinsons Place, Iligan (May 31); and Robinsons Place, Bacolod (June 1).

 Aside from these schedules, there will be more auditions for the competition including Metro Manila which will be announced on GMA and will be posted on the show’s official Facebook page @TheClashGMA.
