In line with the worldwide expansion of its operations, Viva Communications Inc., has joined Globalgate Entertainment. Viva chairman and CEO Vicente del Rosario, Jr., sees this move as a major step towards his goal of making Viva productions available to the international market.
“Viva has a rich and diverse pool of creative talents and a massive catalogue of original content,” says Del Rosario, “It is now the right time to show the world what Filipinos are capable of and I believe that Globalgate Entertainment is the right partner to bring this to fruition.”
Headed by principals Clifford Werber, William Pfeiffer, and Paul Presburger, Globalgate Entertainment is a local language film and TV production and financing venture aligned with Lionsgate. By signing with Globalgate, Viva joins a network that includes partners Televisa (Latin America), Gaumont (France), Nordisk (Scandinavia), Kadokawa (Japan), Lotte (South Korea), Tobis (Germany) and Rai (Italy). It also spans TME (Turkey), Belga Filmes (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg), Paris Filmes (Brazil) amd CineColumbia/ Dynamo (Columbia). Lionsgate covers the US, UK and Canada.

Viva Communications, Inc., has been the prime provider of entertainment content for Filipino audiences since 1981. It is engaged in the production of motion pictures and television and internet content and has the largest library of Filipino films with over 2000 titles. It is also involved in film distribution, music production and distribution and talent management.
