Coco Martin’s ‘Ang Panday’ debuts on TV

Primetime King Coco Martin once again wields his sword via the 2017 MMFF box office hit Ang Panday as the movie debuts on television this weekend, April 21 to 22, on ABS-CBN TVplus’ KBO, now available to all networks.

Ang Panday follows Flavio III (Martin), grandson of the original Panday, who grows up on the streets of Tondo. He gets caught up in gang fights but decides to change after getting released from prison. When the world needs the Panday the most, Flavio takes on the challenge by looking for the Panday, and wields it to defeat the forces of evil.

Also available this weekend using any SIM from all networks are The Love Affair, Woke Up Like This, Pwera Usog, and Bromance: My Brother’s Romance.

Knowledge Channel’s docu on UST flooding, unusual family

The history behind the causes of University of Santo Tomas’s perennial flooding and the story of an unsung hero with an unusual family of people in need take the spotlight in Knowledge Channel’s Class Project: Winners’ Festival as it airs documentaries by budding filmmakers from UST and Leyte Normal University (LNU) today at 7:30 p.m..

UST students’ Usapang Balangay explores the floods that plague the university as a matter of course every rainy season. Audiences will get to learn the origins of country’s oldest university, which was built on a stretch of flat rice lands that lacked proper irrigation.

Meanwhile, LNU students’ Kupkop tells the story of Lola Ansing, a woman in a provincial town in Leyte who proves that family can come in many forms. Viewers will hear the story of Lola Ansing’s unusual family made up of neighbors she took under her wing—young children and elderly neighbors whom she cares for like family.  

‘Supernatural’ Gets Animated in ‘Scoobynatural’

Two beloved worlds collide in the upcoming episode of Supernatural when Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Castiel (Misha Collins) are transported into the animated world of Scooby-Doo where they join forces with the Scooby gang to solve a ghostly mystery.

The cast of Supernatural shared their excitement about the soon-to-be iconic episode during the recent Comic-Con.

“I am pretty stoked about it. When we finished voicing the animation, we were like ‘Let’s do another one. That was awesome!’ We’d never been so eager to work before in our lives.” said Ankles.

“Doing the voiceover for Scooby-Doo was awesome. It was a real ‘pinch me’ moment. Frankly, it was one of the moments when I felt­—Man, I love this show,” Collins shared.

This highly-anticipated episode of Supernatural premieres on AXN 27 April, Friday at 10:40 p.m..
