One of Korea’s most beautiful and talented actresses, Michelle Oh plays the role of Madam Kim Yea-jin, Jun Ho (Alexander Lee) and Ji Hu’s (David Kim) authoritative but caring mother.

She immediately accepted the role when it was offered to her because she was excited to work finally in the Philippines and be a part of GMA’s first Filipino-Korean romantic comedy series.

“The Philippines is such a friendly and hospitable country. I couldn’t ask for a better role. All of my family and friends are supporting me on this project so I am grateful and I feel I need to do my best,” she said.

Korean TV star Michelle Oh joins the cast of GMA Network's original primetime series, "My Korean Jagiya"

Michelle said that she really loves her role in the primetime soap because it’s different from her previous characters, “Most of the roles I’ve done were a rich woman and wife but in My Korean Jagiya, I’m not only rich but powerful so I like this role very much.”

She greatly appreciates the warm welcome and hospitality of the entire production team and her co-actors most especially Heart Evangelista.

“I think Filipinos, in general, have a good heart. I am truly grateful for the kindness Heart has shown us. She invited us to her home and she also brought us to different places. I’ve learned so much from her. I am overwhelmed that I’ve made new friends. All of the my co-stars are very friendly and kind.”

My Korean Jagiya premiered last Monday and airs weeknights right after Mulawin vs Ravena on GMA Telebabad.
