Working with Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla is one of the reasons why award-winning actor Albert Martinez accepted the role of Prof T in ABS-CBN’s hit primetime series La Luna Sangre.

“I have been wanting to work with Kath and DJ again. I treat them like my children. They were still kids when I first worked with them and now I see them as adults who grew up to be good people,” Martinez shared.

“In Princess and I, I saw them as six-year-old kids playing around. But now, they have reached a level of wisdom that I think is appropriate for their age. I’m also happy that they have a sense of responsibility, awareness, and respect to other people, especially the passion for their work,” he added.

Currently, Martinez’s role, Prof T., is a scientist who devoted his life to the world of vampires. He mysteriously surfaced and assumed leadership of the vampire-hunting group Moonchasers.

According to the actor, Prof T. was not the first role offered to him in the series.

“At first, my participation was supposed to be the father of Daniel played by Romnick Sarmienta. Unfortunately, I was busy taping the pilot episodes of another series so I had to attend to that first. Later on, they focused on the characters’ quest against the vampires. That’s why my character Prof T came to life,” he recounted.

When asked how he finds his role, he said, “I have never done this character.  It is full of mystery. I like that Prof T is not a linear character but is multi-dimensional— he is not limited and boxed. Prof T. will do everything to achieve his end goal and he is using the Moonchasers as his instrument to fulfill that goal. We also don’t know why he is doing this or which side he is really on.”
