Kapuso stars indulge fans in various regional shows

June was a busy month for Kapuso stars as they went around the country and treated fans in various festivals and mall shows. 

Kicking off the series of regional events last month was the cast of the recently concluded Afternoon Prime program Legally Blind. Lead actors Janine Gutierrez and Mikael Daez with co-stars Rodjun Cruz and Lauren Young were featured in back-to-back Kapuso Mall Shows in Gaisano Capital South and Gaisano Capital Island Mall Mactan in Cebu on June 3.

On the same day, the all-original Pinoy comedy game show Celebrity Bluff brought fun to the Kapusong Pangasinense in Magic Mall Tayug. Comedian Boobay and Kapuso boy band One Up brought good vibes and kilig during the Kapuso Mall Show.

Meanwhile, the cast of the hit GMA telefantasya Mulawin vs. Ravena (MvR) celebrated the Silay Charter Day with Negrense fans in Bacolod on Independence Day, June 12.

The hottest young Kapuso actors Bea Binene, Derrick Monasterio, Kiko Estrada, Bianca Umali, and Miguel Tanfelix were the stars of the Kapuso Fiesta at the Public Plaza in Silay. Starstruck 6’s Ultimate Male Survivor Migo Adecer, who currently plays the role of Yuan in My love from the Star (MLFTS), hosted the show.

He then travelled to Iloilo that week and joined the Philippines’ Matteo Do, Gil Cuerva, to promote MLFTS. Ilonggos that flocked to Festive Walk, Iloilo Business Park on June 17 were unablr to resist the charm of Gil Cuerva, the newest Kapuso heartthrob.

Adding more kilig to the night was the sizzling tandem of Sanya Lopez and Rocco Nacino. Hot on the heels of the success of their last project, Encantadia, the Kapuso love team showed their fans a glimpse of what to expect from their newest drama series Haplos, which premiered on July 10. 

Meanwhile, the cast of MvR headed north on June 20 to celebrate the Dagupan City Charter Anniversary in Pangasinan. MvR stars Valerie Concepcion, JC Tiuseco, David Licauco, and TJ Trinidad were in the Kapuso float with Sanya Lopez and Rocco Nacino. 

Another set of MvR stars flew to Tacloban City on June 22. Derrick Monasterop, Kiko Estrada, Bianca Umali, and Miguel Tanfelix with co-stars Martin del Rosario and Dion Ignacio were at the Robinson Place Tacloban for a Kapuso Mall Show. The Kapuso artists even participated in a tree-planting activity during their short stay.

Rounding off the month’s regional activities was the Kapuso Mall Show of Haplos in CSI Mall in Tayug, Pangasinan on June 23. Together with Sanya Lopez and Rocco Nacino was their co-star Pancho Magno with Marika Sasaaki as host. 

“We are happy that our Kapuso followers can see their favorite celebrities up close through our various regional events.  The warm reception we get from the audience in every mall show and festival we participate in is a testament of how well-received our shows and Kapuso artists are by viewers all over the country,” says Oliver Amoroso, officer-in-charge of GMA’s Regional TV Department. “And they can only expect more exciting activities in the future,” he adds.
