Arjo’s death in ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ thrills audience

The country’s no.1 primetime series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano brought explosive surprises to viewers with the heart-pounding death of Joaquin (Arjo Atayde) and the show’s introduction of its newest cast, keeping its spot as the most watched program in the country.

After drawing more viewers versus the premiere of its rival program on May 22, the series continued to rule primetime in the following days (May 23 and 24), and scored national TV ratings of 43.3 percent and 42.7 percent, respectively, according to data from Kantar Media.

Now that Cardo (Coco Martin) had avenged his twin brother’s death, he will face a new chapter in his life and is set to meet new characters that will add action and give enduring lessons to households every night.

Watch out for some of the biggest names in the industry, led by Filipino action movie icon Lito Lapid, with his son and respected action star Mark Lapid, and multi-awarded actor and Heneral Luna lead star John Arcilla who will keep viewers hooked on their TV screens.

Arjo Atayde's performance is lauded by audience and critics alike

Seasoned actresses and Till I Met You stars Pokwang and Angel Aquino, meanwhile, are set to reunite on television in new roles that will showcase their acting prowess. Singer and OPM icon Mitch Valdez will also prove she has the acting chops as she joins the cast of the series.

It’s Showtime host Jhong Hilario also brings more action to the series, along with Gawad Urian awardee and returning Kapamilya Sid Lucero.

From their last team up in Dugong Buhay, Ejay Falcon and Yam Concepcion will once again grace the small screen to dabble in action with award-winning indie actor Ronwaldo Martin.

Watch out for the newest chapter of the no. 1 teleserye FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, weeknights on ABS-CBN and on ABS-CBN HD (SkyCable Ch 167).
