Maine Mendoza two years in the biz, still uncomfortable in it

From a virtual unknown to one of the country’s biggest stars, Maine Mendoza now reigns supreme  in  daytime television.

“Sobrang bilis talaga ng mga nangyari sa amin ni Alden (Richards),” says the other half of the phenomenal love team, Aldub,  “Lalo na po sa akin. Two years pa nga lang ako, ganito na, sunod-sunod.”

It’s only been two years but TV’s Yaya Dub still has to get used to all the fame and fortune. Bakit ako?” she admits humbly.

Until now, she still has no idea what it is about her that people love and trust.

But all the success, she generously credits to her countless followers.

Proof of this is her partnership with CDO Funtastyk Young Pork Tocino, which is now the top selling and most loved tocino in the Philippines today.

Hanggang ngayon.

SHOWBIZ DARLING. After being in the entertainment business for two years, Maine Mendoza still remains as one of the most sought-after product endorsers and TV stars

The truth is, Maine confesses, she absolutely loves CDO Funtastyk Young Pork Tocino and has no problem endorsing it being her family’s favorite for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Before, pansin ko lang, matigas and mahirap lutuin.  Yun ang napansin kong difference. Ang CDO Funtastyk Young Pork Tocino, very soft and perfect yung sweetness. Sobrang daling lutuin pa kasi no need to boil siya. Imagine kung sobrang buys mo, no need to worry na kung anong kakainin mo.”

More and more mothers from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao have made the switch to the no. 1 tocino in the land. Because it’s made from 100 percent young pork, and not from the inahing baboy, it’s super juicy and delicious and need not be boiled, making it very convenient for many mothers to prepare and serve it to their families.

In her latest campaign for her favorite CDO Funtastyk Young Tocino, Maine has been teasing everyone about having found her forever. Her social media messages and big billboards all over the metropolis lent even more mystery and kept everyone guessing as to what it was that had her saying, “iba talaga pag forever young.”

Well, wonder no more as she finally reveals her secret in the latest CDO FUntastyk Young Tocino commercial. “Very unique ng concept. I think, it’s very fresh for the consumers and for the viewers to see this kind of campaign.”

It is campaigns like this that has brought CDO and Maine to the top and they intend to stay there forever.

But Maine is also a realist and knows that show biz is not forever. Unlike fame, which is fleeting, she believes in being young and staying young and stress-free.

She understands the rules of the game and keeps her feet planted firmly on the ground, “Siguro ito yung isang bagay na hindi ka dapat malunod.

Ryza Cenon is no longer being managed by GMA Artist Center. Though her management contract has expired early this year, she is still part of GMA’s very successful afternoon prime series Ika-6 na Utos, which has been extended several times already. We wish Ryza well in her future endeavors.”

This is the statement we received from Gigi SantiagoLara, senior assistant vice president for Alternative Productions of GMA Network and also one of the officers of GMA Artist Center.

Ryza Cenon cuts her ties with GMA Artist Center

While many may think Cenon’s decision to move out of GMA Artist Center and join another management group can expand her horizon as an actor, others also think that it may have been too late for her to do that, as many younger girls are populating the screens of both networks. Perhaps she’s ready to take on more villainy roles or at worse…young mother roles. Well, at least she will have work. Or, she could concentrate on her upstart artistic endeavors. But that’s even a harder field to break.
