HE STARS in one of Kapamilya’s highest rating soap operas, Got To Believe, with Kathryn Bernardo, rumored to be the apple of his eyes. The soap is just one where the rabid fans of this youthful nephew of action star Robin Padilla is seen on television.
Born Daniel John Ford Padilla on April 26, 1995 to Robin’s brother Rommel and former starlet Karla Estrada, the young man is without a doubt showbiz’s hottest face and name. When he joined Star Magic, he dropped John Ford, his second and third name (obviously from one of Hollywood’s pantheon directors who made scores of Western movies starring John Wayne, and used simply Daniel Padilla.
What’s more lucky than being offered thousands, if not millions, of pesos in endorsement deals?
Daniel is the recent addition to the Team O of Oishi, the largest manufacturer of snack foods in the Philippines that has a growing presence in mainland China.
Yes, it’s the season to be jolly for Daniel as he joins other members of Team O. Daniel Padilla has his very own O, Wow surprise.
Team O last year brought a lot of surprises, such as the Chopper Shower and Photobomb that had everyone getting excited. This year it gave the Oishi addicts #JeepO with Ramon Bautista, Slater Young and Elmo Magalona.
Daniel, though, surprised students at Culiat High School in Quezon City with a game of “Tag Your Daniel Padilla.”
Some 50 Daniel Padilla lookalikes, dressed in red jackets, white shirts and black shades, were set to roam about the courtyard of the school. Having prepared a dance performance, students watched and applauded. Little did they know that amidst this crowd of dancers, the newest Team O member would actually be among them.
At the sound of the host’s alarm, 100 students were given stickers and the instruction to tag who they thought would be the surprise celebrity guest. The air was thick with excitement as students started searching.
After minutes of tagging, all 50 clones suddenly sat down to reveal Oishi’s newest Marty’s Cracklin’ endorser and Team O member, Daniel Padilla.
Only two students were able to tag the #MedyoBadBoy Team O member—Francis Ebe and Ronelyn Abejo.
The winners received Oishi goodies along with a special meet and greet with Daniel. They were able to ask him how he felt during his visit in Culiat High School. To this, Daniel replied:“Sobrang natuwa talaga ako sa naganap na O, Wow surprise dito sa Culiat High School. Inspirasyon ko ang aking mga fans.. dahil dito, napapasaya ko sila.”
As this activity marks the end of a successful 2013 for Oishi and Team O, one can only guess as to what more stunts and amazing O, Wow surprises 2014 has in store.
