Dingdong Dantes stars in futuristic series

THIS month, fans of Dingdong Dantes who is hyped as the Kapuso Primetime King, will see him in a new sci-fi (Pinoy style) series titled Genesis. The series allows audience a brief look at people who despite the looming destruction of the earth hangs on love, feeling that it is the safest haven. Dantes is Isaak Macalintal, an upright military officer detailed as a security officer tasked to make sure the safety of Vice President Edgardo Sebastian. 2013_oct14_show1Kapuso leading lady Rhian Ramos will prove that love sees no end as she breathes life to. Lorna Tolentino is Sandra Sebastian-Trinidad, President of the Republic. She will sacrifice anything for the sake of the country and its people just like her father, Edgardo. TJ Trinidad is Paolo de Guzman, the controlling and almost tyrannical husband of Raquel (Rhian Ramos) and Jackielou Blanco is Ramona Escalabre, the cruel, manipulative and dishonest former President. Also in the  cast are Irma Adlawan as Tiya Fely, Raquel’s aunt who is like her second mother; Ronnie Henares is Emil Trinidad, Sandra’s supportive husband; Carlo Gonzalez is Waldo, the warden that will make Isaak’s life miserable; Betong Sumaya is Tolits Dimagiba, the ex-convict who will be Isaak’s friend; Luane Dy is Jill Galvez, a resilient, audacious and persistent journalist investigating everything about Operation: Genesis; Sasha Baldoza is Osie de Guzman, the smart, charming and loveable love child of Raquel and Isaak; Rainier Gison as MJ Trinidad, the eldest son of Sandra and Emil; and Annette Samin as Summer Trinidad the daughter of Sandra and Emil who stricken with Down Syndrome. Appearing in important roles are Robert Arevalo (as the Vice President and Sandra’s father), Bembol Roco, Gardo Versoza, Snooky Serna, Shamaine Centenera, Mark Anthony Fernandez, Angel Aquino, Pauleen Luna, Lauren Young, Lito Legaspi and Laurice Guillen (as Isaak’s parents). Dantes says he is excited with this new series as it is the first on local TV. “I am grateful the Kapuso network has entrusted me to be in this project. I am very positive that, with the direction of Bb. Joyce Bernal and Mark Reyes, this will be another interesting drama series that Kapuso fans will enjoy.” Genesis premieres tonight.
