‘Studio 7 Musikalye’ goes to Brooklyn

GMA Network stars Christian Bautista, Julie Anne San Jose, Rayver Cruz, Kyline Alcantara, Golden Cañedo, Betong Sumaya, and Alden Richards are now gearing up for an even more challenging yet exciting production for the avid Kapuso fans in the US as they bring the first international Studio 7 Musikalye show.

Featuring world-class and high-energy performances, Kapusong Pinoy Studio 7 Musikalye sa Brooklyn is happening at the Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, New York on May 11. Show starts at 6:00 p.m..

The powerhouse cast includes Pambansang Bae Alden Richards who mentioned that the concert will be extra special since it falls right before Mother’s Day, a perfect tribute to all the mothers working abroad.

“It’s my first time to be performing with some of the young artists from Studio 7 and I think it’s going to be an exciting show,” the actor stated.

For balladeer Christian Bautistawhat sets this show apart from any other concert he has done before is the unique combination of the cast. 

“Now, Studio 7 Musikalye has Alden and Betong so it has comedy, lots of good songs, dances from Julie, Rayver, and Kyline. And of course, it’s Golden Cañedo’s first time in America,” Christian shared. 

Pop Sweetheart Julie Anne San Jose shared her excitement in doing this musical variety show abroad and how she also enjoys being with her fellow cast members. 

“I’m excited to see our fellow Kapusos in the U.S. I like the energy, it’s really the energy of each and every one of us that brings us together,” the singer-actress expressed. 

Heartthrob Rayver Cruz confessed that Studio 7 holds a special place in his heart and that he is more than thrilled for his first international show as a Kapuso artist. 

Nung nagsisimula ‘yung Studio 7nahihiya pa ako. The good thing is, I got to be friends with everybody almost immediately. It didn’t take long before we became close. Ngayon, malapit na kami sa isa’t-isa. Excited na rin akong ipakita ang concert sa mga Kapuso natin abroad,” he added.

On the other hand, breakout star Kyline Alcantara revealed that the reception of the New York crowd has turned her into a bundle of nerves. However, her enthusiasm, coupled with the trust given by the network, motivates her to give her all in her first stint abroad. 

“I’m just really happy and nervous at the same time. Pinagkatiwalaan ako para mag-perform internationally so I will give my best so as not to disappoint them,” Kyline said.

The Clash champion Golden Cañedo, who could not contain her delight for her first time to set foot in the US, shared the preparations she has been doing for the upcoming show. 

“I’m really excited to perform in New York. We underwent singing and dancing workshops, we rehearsed a few times, and of course ready na yung camera ko,” the young singer shared.

Comedian Betong Sumaya, meanwhile, gave a sneak peek of the performances that the Kapuso abroad should watch out for. 

“I’m going to do a medley, ‘yun ‘yung kailangang abangan nila dahil first time ko itong kakantahin at sobra kong iniidolo ‘yung banda nitoPati syempre ‘yung collaboration naming lahat kasi ‘yung iba rito talagang first time namin makakasama at I’m very fortunate to be part of Studio 7 Musikalye,” Betong said.
