American Idol Season 11 runner up Jessica Sanchez and Chino Roque, the first Filipino astronaut, brought a lot of merriment and cheer—as well as Filipino pride—as they led their respective Christmas launches at SM’s supermalls in the south metro area—SM BF Parañaque, SM Southmall, and SM City Sucat.
It was A Merry Magical Christmas at SM BF Paranaque as it lighted its 30-foot red and gold Christmas tree while no less than American Idol Season 11 runner up Jessica Sanchez serenading the audience with Christmas carols.
Some featured performances were by SM Little Star Grand Winner Gaea Mischa Salipot, St. Paul College Parañaque’s Himig Bulilit, and the Bedanz Dance Troup likewise left shoppers spellbound in the program hosted by Miss World Philippines 2017 Laura Lehmann.
SM City Sucat, on the other hand, traveled through space and time as the mall revealed RoboCarnival: An Out of This World Christmas.
No less than Chino Roque, the first Filipino astronaut, graced the intergalactic inspired launch with mesmerizing lights and a giant red robot with a special hologram room. The Voice Season 2Grand Winner Jason Dy, showed the once and future Yuletide spirit with his performance of well-loved Christmas songs.
SM Southmall was transformed into an Enchanted Woodland with magical gnomes who remind us to embrace who we are—our talents and capabilities, and to pay it forward especially during this season of giving. The joyous voices of the Las Piñas Boys Choir filled the air as the mall’s dazzling Christmas tree was lighted.
