The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Office of International Economic Relations presented recently a concert featuring Ang Misyon’s Orchestra of the Filipino Youth (OFY) at the DFA Auditorium in Manila. The audience was composed mainly of members of the diplomatic corps in the Philippines, with Venezuelan Ambassador to the Philippines Capaya Rodriguez Gonzales as the special guest.
Ang Misyon is a music program inspired by Venezuela-based El Sistema, which is known worldwide for teaching orchestral music to underprivileged youth.
