Young singer’s dream

Having a solid goal as a teenager is one thing. But to actually work hard and be dedicated towards achieving that goal is another matter altogether.

For teen singer Vanerie Rosales, no goal or dream is ever too big for someone who is focused and diligent. Though relatively new in the business, having started singing professionally barely two years ago, she is very optimistic in promoting her debut song “This Man I Know” released in digital format.

“I believe that my constant effort will pay off one day. So, right now, I do whatever I can to introduce my music,” said Vanerie when we saw her perform in Saguijo Bar in Makati a few weeks ago.

Just like any other independent artists, the young singer hopes that one day she could release her own album, a catalogue of her own music. In the meantime, she dabbles between school and performing in small venues during weekends.

“I’m doing this because of my dream. I believe, through constant hard work, I’d be able to realize my dream to get a recording contract and sing songs for a bigger audience,” she beamed with optimism.

Singing a la Amy Winehouse, Vanerie’s knowledge of interpreting music and text is manifested by her cleverly artistic use of voice production, harmony and melody. She has the ability to sing with distinctive emotional depth by generating engaging styles to present her repertoire even at her young age.

She is exciting, entertaining and a dynamic performer. The promising 17-year-old singer-songwriter plays ukulele, her top instrument of choice to interpret stuff she writes and covers.
