The music continues at Arya Plaza

The weather continues to warm up as we welcome summer. So does the music in Arya Plaza as some of the biggest names in the country’s jazz-mundo line up for their sizzling performances every Friday of March for the Arya Rhythms series.

The Arya Plaza is a destination-dining haven along McKinley Parkway in the more relaxed location in BGC, hosting carefully curated restaurants such as Foundry by Smith Butcher, Fukudaya, Arroz Ecija, and Basil. Joining them every Friday is Lemuria’s pop-up stall.

Richard Merk, the Philippines’ prince of Jazz pays tribute to the music of Grammy Award-winning, Al Jarreau tomorrow. Known for his wide vocal range, Richard is someone worthy of praises. He has performed countless concerts and shows here in the country and abroad.

Singer and songwriter Noel Cabangon is more known to Filipinos for his folk music and acoustic style. But he is more versatile than most people think. And that will be brought to the fore on March 24 as he takes his turn as the featured artist of the Arya Rhythm series. Cabangon will showcase his rhythm and blues, jazz and soul side with the help of veteran keyboardist Nikki Cabardo and talented bassist Bergan Nuñez.  It’s a session of The Noel Cabangon Project that is not to be missed.

On March 31, Area One will pay tribute to John, Paul, George, and Ringo with their note-for-note rendition of The Beatles’ greatest hits. The group composed of seasoned musicians and performers led by John Lesaca (accomplished violinist/musician and president of Asosasyon ng Musikong Pilipino or AMP), Cash Manalang (Manila Band, The Music Making Company) and Bert de Leon (accomplished TV/movie director) is considered the best and premier Beatle Tribute Band in the Philippines today.
