Yassi Pressman is now a household name, thanks to the primetime series that seems to have opened a lot of doors for the young star as she’s busy with projects and product endorsements more than ever.
In an interview with the press during an event where she was launched as the newest brand ambassador of a premium mobile device, the 22-year-old Kapamilya star revealed that she’s going to have an even busier schedule for the first half of the year.
“Apart from taping for FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, I’ll be promoting my film Ang Pambansang Third Wheel. It’s going to be a crazy schedule for me for the first half [of the year],” she told Manila Standard.
Her response prompted us to ask whether the primetime series, where she plays the female lead opposite Coco Martin, would be extended for a few more months or if it’s finally going to bid the small screen goodbye just like what was previously announced. Yassi was tightlipped and begged to just wait for the official announcement.
Meanwhile, Yassi was launched as the new face of Samsung’s flagship mobile devices, the Galaxy A8 and the Galaxy A8+. The collaboration brought her to Japan to shoot for a TVC and promotional video that highlight the premium mid-range phones’ inherited features from Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S series siblings, such as Bixby and Infinity display.
“We enjoyed the entire trip; it felt like not work at all. We enjoyed the place that we went to like the karaoke place, food strips, and the place where there were so many cosplayers. It was memorable as well when we had a rain shot. Everybody was using an umbrella and we were capturing the rain using our phone without worrying if our phone would get wet because they are water resistant,” she said.
