According to Nadine Lustre, it is her personal choice not to be included anymore in the project Miracle in Cell #7, Viva’s official entry to the 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival which could have been her maiden screen team-up with award-winning actor Aga Muhlach

Instead, she was replaced by another Viva artist, Bela Padilla.

“Actually, I decided to lie low at this point. After weighing things, I realized that my workload has been very hectic for the past year. Like, I started shooting the film Ulan in 2018 until middle of this year. I guess, I have to give the rest of the remaining year to myself,” she says.

Is she saying that she feels drained?

“No, it’s not like that. Let’s just say that I’m the creative type of person. I need to take care of my creativity or else, I will get depressed eventually. I have to do something creative that will relax my senses like traveling, listening to good music or just reading a good book.”

Many ask if she will be seen in a grand potboiler again in 2020.

“I don’t know yet. I can’t give a concrete answer as of now. Let’s see.”

Is Nadine leaving Viva, too?
Nadine Lustre plans to slow down after doing a string of movies this year.

How about a new TV show?  Her last regular program was the ABS-CBN soap Till I Met You in 2016.

“I have a new show titled, Your Moment in which I share the screen with Billy Crawford and Mr. Boy Abunda.

Nadine further adds that the show is a talent search with a twist. It’s an interesting show that will start airing in November.

It was learned from the critically-acclaimed young actress that one activity which occupies her time these days is song-writing. Can fans expect a new recording album from her soon?

“Well, let’s see. It’s difficult when you are the one writing the song—going to the studio, sit there and discuss with your producer. It’s not easy.”

Nadine reveals that the song she’s writing at present is under the music label of reel and real-life boyfriend James Reid called Careless Music Manila.

“I haven’t released many songs yet under the label. Maybe, we’re just waiting for the right time!”

Now that she opted to lie low from doing projects, the popular lass admits that it has a positive effect.

“I’m happy with this development. I feel very refreshed. It feels great that you are able to rest and just do which you only want to do. Like in my case, I’m also attending to financial matters now that I’m not that busy.”

Expectedly, she is asked as to the real reason why James left Viva.

“Well, all I know is that his contract with the agency already expired.”

As for her, does she also have plans of leaving her home studio in the coming days?

“I don’t see it coming. I’ve been with Viva for the past 10 years and I can say we’re okay,” Nadine ends.

Kapuso actress Thea Tolentino says she will never get tired playing ‘contravida’ roles on screen like in her latest project for GMA titled, Madrasta.

“Well, apart from the fact that I enjoy breathing life to bitchy characters on screen because I find it challenging, I’m also given the chance to give each character a distinct look. I’m really excited every time I have a new villain part. As early as in the story conference, I already think of innovations especially in the physical aspect like, different hair, make-up and clothes. I always want to give something new to the viewers,” she states.

It’s her first time to work with Arra San Agustin who plays the titular role.

“I’m excited because after Kris Bernal, Janine Gutierrez, Maine Mendoza, Sanya Lopez, and Barbie Forteza, it’s Arra this time. It’s her launching vehicle as a solo female lead and I’m proud to be part of the show.”

Have they already shot fighting scenes together?

“Yes! We’ve already done very physical fights which involve slapping faces and hair-pulling. Actually, I’m proud because Arra and I have chemistry. We know our timing. Off screen, we do chit-chats but when the cameras start grinding, she knows when I become ferocious and she’s prepared for it. Ha-ha-ha!” says Thea.
