Megastar swears movie with ex-husband will push through

Asked about her much-anticipated reunion movie with Gabby Concepcion, Megastar Sharon Cuneta said that it would push through.

“Well, that’s the latest I heard,” she said. “At this point when we haven’t started the principal photography for  (the) said project yet, I just want to keep quiet. I don’t want our avid followers to get disappointed if ever it doesn’t materialize.  I’ll just believe it when we’re already halfway through the movie!”

It can be remembered that Star Cinema announced the plan for their reunion film a few months ago and that delighted their fans.

“That’s right! Originally, we were supposed to start shooting this March but as of the latest advice, it became April. I just really hope that we’ll begin shooting soon. I’m also checking on my schedule. For one, I have a concert abroad come June and there’s also my commitment with The Voice, so the cameras ought to grind soon especially if the film is intended for a May release!”

Mega revealed that among the various movie offers she received, she chose this project with Gabby.

“Yes! To be honest, this material is meant for someone else. I mean, supposedly, I’ll be paired with another leading man. But I pitched in the idea instead of why not a movie starring Gabby and me, since our loyal followers are waiting for this grand event for many years now.

“It’s good that our producer saw my point. Our love team is very glossy and I just want our fans and even the new crop of movie buffs to experience our magic or chemistry on screen. Our teaming-up doesn’t happen very often and this is one rare moment. And I knew there are fall back projects if ever with other male leads like Richard Gomez, Robin Padilla, and Aga Muhlach.”

Their avid fans still supportive of them until now are Sharon’s prime consideration why she wants her reunion movie with Gabby to materialize.

“It’s really for them. There’s a clamor for it since he came back and resumed his acting career in the Philippines. Before, admittedly, I was the one who’s hesitant. But now, everything’s open already. With my husband (Sen. Kiko Pangilinan), he’s supportive of the project. He just told me that if it’s okay with me, then I have his blessing.

“Then, I would also hear that Gabby also likes the thought. You know, both of us owe our millions of followers a lot. They’re instrumental why we’ve reached our present stature in the ‘biz. It’s like a way of giving back to them for all their love and support in spite of the fact that we’ve led separate lives already,” ends Sharon.

Dennis Trillo is back on prime time via the much-anticipated grand fantasy-drama-action series Mulawin Vs. Ravena on GMA-7.

“Yes! After Juan Happy Love Story, a light comedy, I’m so happy to be one of the main characters in this new Kapuso telefantasya. a continuation of Mulawin in 2004,” he maintains.

He’s playing the role of Gabriel in the star-studded show.

“If you’d remember, that’s my character in the original series. I’m very fortunate to be considered in this sequel. I’m one of the few stars from the 2004 Mulawin reprising our respective roles in this latest edition. It makes me feel proud for sure!”

All cast members have intensive physical training for the program.

“ The preparation is meticulous. It’s very physical and taxing but enjoyable at the same time. Of course, we don’t want to disappoint the viewers. Mulawin has a cult following already because of its enormous popularity years ago. We just want to continue where it successfully left off, so to speak.”

Having said that, the handsome actor wants to fully concentrate on his character.

“The reason why I opted not to accept any acting assignment while the show is still running,” says Dennis.
