Erich enjoys heavy scenes with Lovi

According to Erich Gonzales, she’s still willing to do a movie opposite Lovi Poe despite having been hurt during their slapping scene in their controversial hit film The Significant Other which also stars Tom Rodriguez.

“If other actresses get traumatized because they got hurt while doing a delicate scene like that, then I’m different!” she says. “I’m a real trouper. Especially if it made the scene more realistic, I won’t count it as a bad experience. As an actress, I should be ready for things like that, right?’’

“One more thing, I have a nice working relationship with Lovi. We’re super-duper okay! This also holds true with Tom whom I worked with for the first time in the project. I really hope it’s not the last. I learned a lot from this experience. Of course, I want variety in my work relationships. I want to work with more stars from other home studios as much as possible.”

The pretty star points out that actors get carried away with the scenes at times.

“For intense actors, once they hear the word, ‘Action!’ they get affected totally. You lose yourself in the process and become the character. So, sometimes, especially if you’re executing a very physical scene, you can’t help but make it appear realistic to the point of really hurting the actor you’re doing the scene with.”

Erich wants to grow in her craft as a screen performer.

“Acting is a continuous learning process,” she explains. “I always tell myself to keep on absorbing new techniques, adapt and evolve. Looks fade but your acting mettle will bring you places. This is the reason why I always give it my best shot.”

During the film’s premiere night, she left at the middle of the screening prompting people to think that she walked-out.

“Oh, no! It’s because I have taping then for my new ABS-CBN soap The Blood Sisters. It’s not easy doing the show because I play three different characters. You can just imagine the preparations. So, to put an end to all the intrigues, I didn’t stage a walk-out that evening.”

It’s good she doesn’t get confused breathing life to three different characters in the dramatic thriller.

“It’s just about having focus. If you love what you do, you will always be on your toes.”

On the lighter side, she’s presently being linked to a certain Mateo Lorenzo, a non-showbiz guy.

“I’m single. That’s all I can say. Work is my priority. I don’t want to waste any single chance that comes my way. Anyway, love can wait,” Erich ends.

Despite encouraging words from people, Sanya Lopez nixes the possibility of joining a beauty contest in the near future.

“Many have enticed me to join Bb. Pilipinas or Ms. World Philippines but as of now, my answer is negative. I feel I’m not yet ready to join. I’m just 21. Maybe if I’m already 24 or 25, I might consider,” she avers.

As of now, the lovely star wants to concentrate on her acting career.

“That’s right! I want to further improve my craft. Then, if I’m already established in my showbiz career, I can set my attention to beauty pageants.”

Speaking of her acting career, Sanya is sad that after seven months, her top-rating afternoon drama series Haplos recently bid farewell.

“I miss everyone in the show. From my co-stars to Direk Gil Tejada, Jr. We’re like family there. But we’re happy that the show’s rating was high until the last episode,” she says.
