Actress Bianca Umali marked another milestone in her career after receiving the German Moreno Memorial Youth Achievement Award. Bianca currently headlines GMA’s epic-drama series Sahaya where she plays the titular character who embraces her own identity and heritage as a Badjao, even defying the power of love.
The sought-after Kapuso actress is likewise part of two upcoming movies this second quarter of 2019. She is one of the cast members of GMA Pictures and Mic Test Entertainment, Inc.’s heart-warming movie, Family History, and in APT Entertainment, Inc.’s horror film, Banal.
Award-winning actress and director Laurice Guillen took home the Lifetime Achievement Award. She was the director of the top-rating series Ika-6 Na Utos and Ika-5 Utos.
GMA’s flagship AM radio station Super Radyo DZBB’s Dobol A sa Dobol B host Ali Sotto, in turn, received the Dr. Jose R. Perez Memorial Award. In her speech, the esteemed radio broadcaster shed light on the importance of women empowerment and reinforcing the rights of every woman in the society.
