In this fast-paced world where multitasking is now a lifestyle for most millennials and even millennials at heart, Barangay LS 97.1 disc jocks Papa Carlo, Papa Ding, and Papa JT share how they maximize their skills and at the same time enjoy what they do on and off-air.
Papa Carlo, dubbed as “Ang Bida ng Barangay”, produces and organizes events during his free time.
“Nae-enjoy ko siya kasi nakapagpapasaya rin ako ng tao sa iba namang paraan kaya lalo akong ginaganahan,” he stated.
He makes sure, however, that his events do not get in the way of his duties as the host of Bida sa Barangay, which airs from Monday to Saturday.
The youngest in the Barangay, Papa Ding maximizes his time off-air by surfing the net and looking for videos of the latest dance challenges. Tagged as “Ang Bibo ng Dance Floor,” this Hoy Pinoy and Wow Sayaw host learns the steps on his own and teaches them to his co-DJs, adding his personal twist every now and then.
“Pabibo rin kasi talaga ako especially kapag alam kong game ang mga kasama ko,” he said.
“The Bro Next Door” Papa JT, on the other hand, puts his talent to good use in the drama segments of Barangay Love Stories.
“Being a voice actor gives me the confidence that I can do my job with certainty,” he asserted.
However, he admitted that juggling responsibilities is not easy. “The stress levels are significantly different, but it’s the good kind of stress. It does not feel like work for me,” assured Papa JT who can be heard daily on Talk Back and Sakto Mismo every Sunday.
Papa Carlo urged millennials to know their priorities first to make best use of their skills even in their spare time. “Before you decide on doing something else aside from your profession, you have to establish first kung ano ba talaga ang gusto mo at ano ang kaya mong gawin. At kapag na-set mo na ‘yun, planuhin mo ng maayos at mag-focus ka lang muna sa kung anong ginagawa mo at the moment.”
“But more importantly, don’t forget to rest. Kailangan mo ‘yun para maging effective ka sa lahat ng ginagawa mo,” Papa Ding added.
