Most people believe that New Year’s resolutions, more than any other goals, are meant to be broken first. Hence, a new campaign that encourages people to stick to their goals with the help of a few personalities that walk the talk has been unveiled.

Social media influencer, model and aspiring actor David Licauco has joined the roster of celebrities, including Hayden Kho, Melissa Ricks, Victor Basa, and Gretchen Ho, in a campaign that aims to inspire people especially the young ones to reinvent in a healthy way and to leave time to love themselves.

For his part on the campaign spearheaded by Watsons called #HappyNewYou, the 22-year-old hunk presented fitness hacks — doable steps to break down goals into smaller plans to make achieving our New Year’s resolutions less daunting.

The former Mr. Chinatown runner-up, who spends some good time in a gym to sculpt his physique, shared that achieving our fitness goals should start by changing our lifestyle – from the food we eat to the kind of exercise that we do to help us keep fit.

“In terms of diet, protein is the way to go. But people have different protein requirement, so for me it’s all about balance because you need to know what your goal really is. I don’t deprive myself from eating the food I like, say I eat too much today, I make sure to work out hard in the evening. That’s the kind of ‘balance’ I follow,” he said.

He further said that eating “real food” would also help someone achieve his weight and body goals.

“Most of the time, we no longer want to cook our meal, we opt for junk and processed food. But if we want to lose more, we need to eat more ‘real food’ and take supplement that promote good digestive health. It’s a good thing that there are readily available products at Watsons that can help us maintain our diet,” he explained.

Apart from flushing out the toxins inside the body, he also talked about “perfect proper form” when it comes to exercise.

David, whose favorite exercise is dumbbell squats, demonstrated how to properly do his preferred exercise routine during the Watsons campaign’s media launch held on Wednesday.

“There’s a chance that we get injured if we don’t do it right. And we injured ourselves, we wouldn’t be able to exercise to begin with,” the Euphoria Maxx ambassador added.

And summing up his fitness hacks, the Kapuso star said that the trick to a healthy and active lifestyle is to leave just a few minutes for yourself that if you can’t hit the gym, a ten-minute workout at home will still go a long way. Picking up a yoga mat and some dumbbells will also do the trick. As for the diet, his advice is to balance your diet with the right supplements.

With Watsons campaign everyone is encouraged to get a slimmer waistline with Cosmo Body, increase their endurance while toning up muscles with Euphoria Maxx, and enhance your overall health with Organique Acai juice supplement.
