The producers of Barangay 143 hope it would make waves among the Filipino and Asian viewers as it tells the tale of a Korean boy, Bren Park, in search of his Filipino father. Major influences in his life will be Vicky (Jasmine Curtis) and Coach B (John Arcilla) who will mentor him on the finer points of life and the game.

Coach B whose backstory identifies him as one of the best coaches in PBA is an enigmatic character who has not stopped grieving for his son while trying to be a role model to his local team.
