It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon at the Araneta Center when the traditional Binibining Pilipinas parade of beauties, a prelude to the finals, was held featuring this year’s forty lovely candidates each riding in top-down sports cars for all the fans and beauty-watchers to see.

BEVY OF BEAUTIES. Binibining Pilipinas frontrunners (first row, from left) De Leon, Elima, Peters, Rodriguez, Pajares, Huelar, Ibe, Calingo, (second row, from left) Asturias, Thomas, Ortega, Sutton, De Leon, Manalo, Clenci, and Borja

From all the Bb. Pilipinas pre-pageant activities, it is the parade of beauties that is highly anticipated and most attended for it gives the people a glimpse of the country’s up-and-coming beauty queens.  After the National Costume and Talent competitions, the Bb. Pilipinas 2017 pre-judging committee may already have selected the lucky girls who would or should make the cut as semi-finalists to be announced during the grand coronation tonight at the Smart Araneta Coliseum telecast via ABS-CBN.

Given that the competition format will be similar to last year, then the 40 candidates will be narrowed down to the Top 15 semifinalists, we are giving our own forecast for this year’s batch who we feel will have a strong chance to take one of the six the titles at stake. So, who will follow in the footsteps of 2016 Binibining Pilipinas Queens Maxine Medina, Kylie Versoza, Nicole Cordoves, Jennifer Hammond, Nichole Manalo and Joanna Louise Eden?

After carefully evaluating their performances throughout the competition, giving more weight on how well these ladies communicate their thoughts (as there have been a lot of talk that Q&A portion will play a big part in choosing this year’s winners), in random order, the Standard’s Choice lists down 15 Binibinis who are likely to win in the country’s most prestigious beauty competition and they are: Maria Angelica De Leon, Charmaine Elima, Rachel Peters, Katarina Sonja Rodriquez, Dindi Pajares, Jehza Mae Huelar, Nelda Ibe, Arienne Louise Calingo, Ana Patricia Asturias, Chanel Olive Thomas, Gabriela Patricia Ortega, Sirene Sutton, Angelique de Leon, Maria Camille Manalo, and Elizabeth Clenci.
