Quezon City mayoralty candidate Vincent Crisologo was arrested Sunday evening for his alleged involvement in vote-buying.
The Quezon City congressman who is was nabbed in Barangay Bahay Toro.
In a Facebook video post, Crisologo, who could be seen in handcuffs, said he was not informed of the nature of the arrest.
“Meron kaming training for our watchers. Pinaasok ng mga pulis sa bahay nang walang search warrant. Natural, nagkagulo. Yung mga pulis, naka-tsinelas, hindi naka-uniporme, may mga baril, so natural sumunod kami, tiningnan namin,” he said.
“Pag dating namin, sinabihan naming yung pulis bakit sila nag-trespass. Dumating yung commander nila, si Col. (Alex) Alberto, inaresto kami lahat. Pati ako inaresto. Hindi kami binasahan ng Miranda rights. Basta pinosasan na lang kami. Pati mga pulis ginagamit na ng mga kalaban naming sa pulitika,” he added.
