A judge handling the drug cases against the Parojinog siblings was killed in an ambush Monday afternoon.
Ozamiz City Regional Trial Court Judge Edmundo Pintac was driving his car on his way home when he was gunned down by four men on motorcycles.
The Supreme Court has condemned the killing of Pintac, who was handling the drug cases against Parojinog siblings Ozamiz Vice Mayor Nova Princess and Reynaldo Jr.
Chief Justice Teresita Leonardo-de Castro urged authorities to resolve the case.
“I’m calling on the Philippine National Police to exert all means and efforts to apprehend the perpetrators at the soonest possible time,” De Castro said.
De Castro said she has also instructed Court Administrator Midas Marquez to “coordinate with all law enforcement agencies to bring to justice those responsible for this crime.”
