Padre Pio's heart relic arrives in Philippines

The “incorrupt heart” relic of Saint Padre Pio of Pietrelcina, Italy arrived at 10 o’clock Friday night on board Qatar Airways flight QR928 via Doha at the Naia Terminal 1.

PADRE PIO’S VIRTUES. Catholic authorities aim to highlight the virtues of Saint Padre Pio of Pietrelcina, Italy whose 'incorrupt heart' relic arrived Friday night on board Qatar Airways flight QR928 via Doha at the Naia Terminal 1. It will be in the Philippines until Oct. 26.
The relic of the Italian priest, known for his piety and charity as well as the gift of the stigmata, will be in the Philippines until Oct. 26.

The relic will be enshrined at the National Shrine of Saint Padre Pio in Santo Tomas, Batangas until Oct. 7 and will be brought to the Manila Cathedral Oct. 8-10, Cebu Cathedral Oct. 11-13,Davao Cathedral Oct.14-16,Lipa Cathedral Oct.17, National Shrine of Saint Pio Oct.18-26 and the departure and motorcade to Naia on Oct. 26.

Aside from the Philippines, Padre Pio’s heart relic had visited the United States, Paraguay, and Argentina accompanied by two Capuchin friars from San Giovanni Rotonda in Italy.
