Submit requirements, human rights victims told

The other victims of human rights during the martial law years under Republic Act 10368 have until Dec. 31 to submit their pending requirements, according to the Commission on Human Rights.

In an advisory, the commission said Ricarte Asucena, Guillermo Adorable, Solidad Ebala, Emeterio de Garcia, Diosdado Rosco, Teadoro Kusong, William Villacarlo, Alfonso Lumanda, Victor  Lovely Jr., Felimon Belgian, Carmen Geraldine Planas, Norberto Escoltura, Ernesto Magcalas Jr., Lilia San Jose, Julita Barsana, Jacinto Bunyi, Delia Bermudez, Melchor Morada, Julius Orfila, Amado Mendoza, Brigida Arce, Fernando Barica, Dennis Marasiga, Fe Santos, Corazon Cayanan and Dorothy Crame have yet to claim their checks from the Joint Resolution Team at the CHR main office in Diliman, Quezon City at the soonest possible time. “The fund under Joint Resolution No. 4 Series of 2019 will only be made available until Dec. 31, 2019,” the agency said.

RA 10368 or the Human Rights Victims Reparation and Recognition Act of 2013 provides the reparation of over 300 human rights victims during the martial law regime.

The remaining claimants failed to avail of the reparation due to problematic checks.
