DOH Calabarzon signs ‘Tripartite Memo’ with Cavite, Bacoor

DOH-CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) together with the provincial government of Cavite and city government of Bacoor signed the “Tripartite Memorandum of Agreement” for the continuous provision of assistance and support for the expansion of the hospital facility to serve the growing population and health needs of the city.

“We will be providing the appropriate technical, manpower and logistic support needed for the improvement and health services of the hospital and ensure that the residents will be given the necessary health care assistance they need, especially the indigents,” Regional Director Eduardo Janairo said.

“We will be bringing in consultants from Batangas Medical Center to provide clinical support for specific departments of the hospital and also provide training assistance and other technical support based on the health status of Bacoor,” he added.

Infrastructure improvements and additional hospital equipment for the district hospital will be accommodated and provided through the DOH-Health Facility Enhancement Program.

According to Janairo, proper assessment will be done to identify the needs of the facility including issuance of appropriate licenses and provision of basic health services for the required level of operation.

“Collaboration and mutual cooperation with local governments towards the development and  improvement of health care system in the community for better health outcomes is one of the main thrusts of CALABARZON Prime.”

The Bacoor District Hospital was established in 2019 through Sangguniang Panlalawigan Resolution No.084, Series of 2011. It is a 10-bed capacity with complete with laboratory, ER equipment, and services for OPD.

Attendees to the MOA singing were Cavite 2nd District Representative Strike B. Revilla, Department of Health–CALABARZON Director Eduardo C. Janairo, Cavite Provincial Health Officer Dr. Remigio D. Camerino, Bacoor City Mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla and City Health Officer Dr. Ivy Marie C. Yrastorza.
