Lawyer Lorenzo “Larry” Gadon, who filed an impeachment complaint against former Supreme Court chief justice Maria Lourdes Sereno, on Friday declared his plan to join the senatorial race in 2019.
At the weekly Nanka media forum in Quezon City, Gadon said he has already accepted the nomination of the Kilusang Bagong Lipunan, which was founded by the late President Ferdinand Marcos.
KBL president Jovi Opinion, a former Samar provincial board member, raised the hand of Gadon as their official senatorial bet.
Other political parties, such as the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats, have thrown their support to endorse him in the May 2019 senatorial race, Gadon said.
He vowed to give his best to support any advocacy that would help improve the country.
As a lawyer, Gadon said he would initiate the passage of bills that could bolster the country’s economic growth, and reform in the education system.
