PDP-Laban member named as new PCUP chairman

After firing Terry Ridon, who was sacked by President Rodrigo Duterte for traveling abroad for “unnecessary junkets,” the President appointed as new chairman of the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor a partymate, Noel Felongco.

Felongco, whose appointment papers were signed on Feb. 1, is a former undersecretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and once served as president of PDP-Laban Central Visayas chapter.

Also appointed to the same agency was Romeo Jandugan as PCUP commissioner, two months after the President fired four PCUP commissioners for allegedly failing to meet as a collegial body.

Meanwhile, Ferdinand Bocobo was named as a member of the consultative committee that will review the 1987 Constitution.
