Duterte to sack another agency head soon

President Rodrigo Duterte is set to fire another government agency head in the coming days.

He talked about this move in an event in Manila Hotel last night.

The chief executive did not name the government official.

Corruption is the issue behind the decision.

The President is also set to dismiss three generals from service.

He has yet to say if the generals come from the Philippine National Police (PNP) or the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

These government officials will be added to the batch of policemen who face dismissal.

Duterte recently fired Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) Administrator Marcial Amaro III.

He cited excessive foreign travels as the reason.

Amaro travelled 24 times abroad since his apppointment to MARINA 18 months ago.
