Attorney Lorenzo "Larry" Gadon is presenting pieces of evidence to back the impeachment complaint he filed against Supreme Court (SC) Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno.
He earlier cited four grounds that supposedly prove the chief magistrate violated the Constitution.
Members of the House Justice Committee are now examining the documents submitted by Gadon.
Oriental Mindoro Representative and Committee Chairman Reynaldo Umali told Gadon that he must be able to substantiate all his allegations.
Among Gadon's accusations is that Sereno had supposedly tampered with a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) issued by SC Associate Justice Teresita Leonardo-De Castro, who was the ponente (author).
Cebu Representative Gwen Garcia moved that justices be invited to the House committee hearing.
Umali said the high tribunal will not be able to function if all of them will be summoned to the impeachment proceeding.
Garcia clarified associate justices must be invited as the need arises.
