Comelec Chairman Bautista resigns

Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Chairman Andres 'Andy' Bautista has resigned.

Bautista announced his decision to the public through his Twitter account.

He earlier informed his colleagues in the poll body about his resignation through a formal letter.

COMELEC Spokesperson James Jimenez confirmed the report.

He said Bautista had talked about it with Comelec employees.
