Senate to probe today Kian Loyd's death

The Senate Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs is investigating this afternoon the death of 17-year-old Kian Loyd Delos Santos.

The 2 pm hearing will be presided by Senate Committee Chairman Panfilo Lacson.

Senator Risa Hontiveros has secured witnesses who will testify how the 11th grader was taken away on the night of August 16, 2017 during a police anti-drug operation in Caloocan City.

Police had claimed that Kian was killed in a shootout, but CCTV showed that Kian was dragged by two men.

Witness said Kian was crying and pleading for his life.

The men allagedly ordered the minor to hold a gun, shoot and run.

Kian was apparently shot dead as he complied.
