Classes suspended in Quezon City on Monday

Classes in Quezon City are suspended on Monday, July 24, 2017.

This is in view of President Rodrigo Duterte's second State of the Nation Address (SONA).

The suspension covers both public and private schools.

The announcement was made by the Quezon City government.

SONA is being held at the House of Representatives located in Batasang Pambansa, Quezon City.

The announcement is meant to spare the students from heavy traffic congestion resulting from demonstrations that militant groups usually hold on SONA day.
