An ash explosion occurred on Mount Bulusan, a volcano in Sorsogon at 9:46 last night. Some residents in Irosin were affected but no evacuation was ordered. Phivolcs says no magma is rising inside the volcano. Explosion may have been caused by minor steam from rainwater.
