2 suspected kidnappers killed in Cavite

Police killed two suspected kidnappers in an encounter in Imus, Cavite on Thursday.

The two died in an operation conducted by members of the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group (PNP-AKG) in an area near Palanas Road in Barangay Anabu 1.

PNP-AKG Director Senior Superintendent Glenn Dumlao says, the suspects who died have yet to be identified.

Initial information describes the suspects as Indians.

They were allegedly involved in the kidnapping of another Indian.

The PNP launched an attack against the suspects following the death of the kidnap victim yesterday.

The victim's body was recovered in an open canal at the boundary of General Trias and Dasmarinas.

Prior to this, the suspected abductors allegedly tried to get ransom money from the victim's family.
