Duterte-Trillanes word war goes on

Senator Antonio Trillanes is insisting the President Rodrigo Duterte should release his bank records.

He told the President, “marami ka pang sinasabi. Kung talagang wala kang tinatagong nakaw na yaman, tanggapin mo na ang hamon ko at buksan mo na yung transaction history ng bank accounts mo at kung mali ako, magre-resign agad ako bilang senador (you are saying so many things. If you really have no ill-gotten wealth, accept my challenge and open the transaction history of your bank accounts. If I am wrong, I will resign).”

The senator earlier claimed the President is supposedly hiding over two billion pesos in his bank accounts.

The President retaliated, saying he will also resign if Trillanes can prove his story.

He also told the senator, “kung ang pamilya mo, gutom noon o ngayon, huwag mo kaming isali. Di kami kasing malas ng pamilya mo. Di kami mahirap din. Tatay ko, governor noon. May iniwan sa amin. Ikaw? Ano’ng naiwan sa yo? Hangin pati yabang. Tulisan ka, sa totoo lang (if your family is hungry, then and now, do not drag us. We are not as unfortunate as your family. We are not poor. My father was a governor. He left something to us. What about you? What was left to you? Air and boastfulness. You are really a bandit).”
