The NBI Intelligence Chief is now Atty. Sixto Burgos.

NBI Deputy Director Ruel Bolivar has been relieved as head of the Task Force against Illegal Drugs.

Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre made the announcement on Thursday just before noon.

He said, this development is being done in connection with the death of Korean businessman Jee Ick Joo.

Aguirre said, “ito ay para mabigyan ng masusing imbestigasyon ang pagkamatay ni Jee Ick Joo (this is to pave the way for a thorough investigation into the death of Jee Ick Joo).”

Some NBI assets are being tagged in the Korean busineman’s slay on October 18, 2016.

Aguirre says a total of about 7 top NBI officials are affected by the reorganization.
