Heavy rains and floods hit Davao region

Davao del Norte and several portions of Davao region are currently experiencing heavy rains.

This situation has been ongoing since Wednesday night.

Floodwaters have risen in the municipalities of Kapalong, Asuncion, Sto. Tomas, Carmen and Panabo City.

PAGASA says, the bad weather is brought by the tail-end of a cold front.

At least six barangays in Panabo City are submerged.

Local residents report that several houses are tilting on the side and may be swept away by floodwaters any moment now.
