Court staff in Manila to go on half day on Monday

The Supreme Court (SC) announces that work will be half day on Monday in Manila.

This covers the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals and all the local courts in the city. 

SC Public Information Office says, under the modified work schedule, work will be suspended at 12 noon on January 9, 2017.

The order intends to spare court employees the difficulty of travelling, in view of the Black Nazarene procession where millions of Filipinos are expected to join.

SC only reminds courts to assign a skeletal force that will attend to persons who are submitting pleadings and other documents with deadlines falling on Monday.
