Storm ‘Marce’ heads to Surigao

Tropical depression ‘Marce’ has moved west northwest toward Surigao provinces.

It is expected to make landfall over Surigao del Norte this afternoon or early evening.

As of 11 am Thursday, Marce is packing maximum sustained winds of up to 45 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 55 kph.

It is moving west northwest at 17 kph.

Signal number 1 is up over Romblon, Cuyo Island, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Bohol, Cebu including Bantayan, Camotes Islands, Siquijor, Negros Oriental, Negros Occidental, Iloilo, Capiz, Aklan, Antique, Guimaras, Surigao del Norte including Siargao Island, Surigao del Sur, Dinagat Islands, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Misamis Oriental and Camiguin.
