President Rodrigo Duterte is going abroad for 6 days beginning this weekend.
In a press briefing in Malacañang, Foreign Affairs Assistant Secretary Charles Jose said, the President will be in Brunei from Sunday to Tuesday (October 16 to 18, 2016).
Then, he will fly to China for a state visit from Tuesday to Sunday (October 21).
Jose said, Duterte intends to visit some drug rehabilitation centers in China.
He explained, “the purpose is for the President to see for himself how China is solving its drug problem.”
Duterte’s itinerary includes a bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
He will also speak in a business forum in Beijing and will join the Filipino community in another event.
