Duterte off to typhoon-hit Batanes

President Rodrigo Duterte is travelling to Batanes on Friday afternoon.

The province was hit by at least 4 storms last month, including Super Typhoon Ferdie.

No fatality was recorded in Batanes in the aftermath of the weather disturbances.

Batanes has about 3,000 residents.

Duterte will conduct an aerial survey of Itbayat.

Afterwards, a feeding program will be held.

He will also speak in a program at the Capitol of Batanes later in the day.
