The House Committee on Justice continues its hearings on the proliferation of illegal drugs inside New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa City.
Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre plans to present 6 witnesses.
As of Wednesday morning, he has called on NBP convict Noel Martinez to testify.
Aguirre said, Martinez will testify how Former Justice Secretary and now Senator Leila De Lima's camp had allegedly asked his help so that she could supposedly secure enough money for her senatorial campaign.
Martinez and Jaime Patcho have been brought to the Batasan Complex.
Other witnesses include Jojo Baligad, Froilan Trestiza, Hans Anton Tan and Jesusa Francisco.
The witnesses were subjected to interpellations by members of the House of Representatives on Day 1 of the hearing on Tuesday.
The hearing ended at about 8:30 in the evening.
